Our ministry looks to find interested donors in this country that may have a musical instrument to place into the hands of a child. Along with this gift comes encouragement from the principles in God's Word. How many lives would you like to make a difference in today?
Our First Event Aired in December 2009! TV Special ...
Music to His Ears aired an hour-long television special entitled “Music That Matters Most”. The special aired in the Middle Tennessee market on CTN, Comcast channel 21, local channel 39, at 9:00 PM on December 22 and again on December 29th. The special also aired nationwide on the NRB channel, DirectTV channel 378, on New Year’s Day, and will re-air on the network multiple times in 2010.
“Music That Matters Most” is designed to inspire, educate, be an outreach for children’s causes, and be platform for “Music to His Ears,” public service announcements. These PSA spots invite people to donate their used musical instruments for use in Music to His Ears’ ministry.
The TV special “Music That Matters Most,” will feature a walk down memory lane with country music icon Crystal Gale, as wells as highlights of Crystal performing on stage and a warm interview where she talks about her faith, love for music, her very first musical instrument, and her legendary award winning song, “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.”
Also featured will be an inspiring interview with New York Time’s best selling author, Eric Wilson, author of “Fireproof” and “Facing The Giants.” We visit the Nashville School For The Blind, where Eric Wilson and his wife present on behalf of Music to His Ears a donated Fender bass guitar and amplifier to one of the students.
The special also contains a feature story with Mark Taylor of Crafters of Tennessee. Mark is a world renowned guitar designer who has designed handmade one-of-a-kind musical instruments for former President Nixon, Garth Brooks, Allen Jackson, and too many other celebrities to mention. His instruments are showcased in a number of museums around the country, including the Smithsonian Institute. We go behind the scenes and see actual violins and guitars being handcrafted and hear words of wisdom from the artist behind the artist.
The culmination of “Music that Matters Most” is the presentation of a donated violin to 13 year-old Clarissa. Her family has four generations of worship leaders in their family tree. The talented 13 year-old has been playing the violin since she was 3. We hear their heartfelt story and Music to His Ears presents Clarissa with her very own violin.
